From farmer classrooms to a fully adopted village, each programme is designed to move communities from awareness to lasting practice.
Programme 01
Since January 2022, AFTER SOCIETY has run training and awareness programmes for farmers across Uttarakhand on organic and sustainable agricultural practices — helping farmers move toward long-term productivity without depending on chemical inputs.
Programme 02
AFTER SOCIETY collaborates with agricultural universities and educational institutions in Uttarakhand to facilitate Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) training and field-based learning — giving students practical exposure to rural communities and agricultural activities, and bridging the gap between classroom education and real fieldwork.
Programme 03 · Self-funded
In April 2023, AFTER SOCIETY adopted Bisht Gaon, Dehradun, under a self-funded village development initiative — with an MoU signed with the village Pradhan to enable sustained, community-level work.
Recurring sessions that build knowledge and keep participation active year-round.
Regular drives paired with plant distribution to residents.
Covering eye health, mental health, dengue awareness and sanitary kit distribution.
Anganwadi-based activities and events like drawing competitions for local children.
Programmes building skills and awareness specifically for women in the village.
Broader initiatives shaped with local residents and stakeholders, not imposed on them.
The project follows a participatory approach — Awareness → Participation → Capacity Building → Action → Sustainability — involving local residents in planning and implementation rather than limiting interventions to one-time events.
