Our story
AFTER SOCIETY — the Aggregate Farm Together with Educational Rise Society — believes sustainable rural development comes from combining agricultural knowledge, community participation, education, environmental responsibility, skill development and the effective implementation of government schemes.
Since establishment, the organization has conducted farmer training programmes, rural awareness campaigns, village development activities, environmental initiatives, health camps, educational activities, and training for agriculture students — focused particularly on rural communities in the Garhwal region.

To contribute to the creation of sustainable, self-reliant, educated and empowered rural communities where agriculture, livelihoods, environmental conservation and social development work together to improve the quality of life of people.
To promote sustainable and organic agriculture, strengthen village development, empower women, promote education and livelihoods, conserve the environment, and facilitate effective implementation of government schemes for the well-being of rural communities in Garhwal.
Core objectives
Educating, motivating and supporting farmers in adopting organic, sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
Facilitating extension, awareness and promotional activities to improve farm productivity and livelihood opportunities.
Undertaking community-based initiatives for the overall development of villages and quality of rural life.
Creating opportunities for women's employment, entrepreneurship, skill development and economic empowerment.
Promoting education, awareness and practical learning for children, youth and students, especially in rural areas.
Encouraging environmentally responsible practices through plantation, cleanliness and resource conservation.
Creating awareness of, and facilitating access to, government programmes for rural populations.
Supporting farmers and rural households in building sustainable livelihoods through agriculture, processing and skill development.
Our journey
Early community health and sanitation work begins in Bisht Gaon.
Environmental groundwork alongside Anganwadi-based child education awareness and a drawing competition.
Followed by a second cleanliness drive later in the year.
Community celebration paired with continued farmer training.
Alongside a children's chair donation camp for local schools.
Expanded training on land preparation across Garhwal.
Continued promotion of organic agriculture training through the year.
Extension farmer visits and a Farmer Fair mark the organization's most recent work.
Leadership team
AFTER SOCIETY is guided by a small, closely-knit leadership team spanning agriculture, technical coordination, communications and community outreach. They bring professional expertise from different fields, a genuinely collaborative and open working culture, and a hands-on presence at trainings, campaigns and village visits rather than direction from a distance.
Decisions are made together, ideas are welcomed from every level, and the same commitment to rural communities that started this organization in 2022 continues to shape every programme — supported by a dedicated network of 50+ active volunteers across the Garhwal region.
